Being born a Afro-Canadian was not easy; speaking from my perspective I was not educated fairly especially with a person with a learning disabilities, being targeted cause your black from white kids and trying to defend yourself and the teachers don’t believe you saying it’s your fault trying to say I was not obedient enough for their standards, also saying I was not teach able; my mother had to come into the school and fight for me daily just for me to get a decent education, they wanted to keep me down and keep me in basic level education had to fight to get general level education and this started from elementary though too high school and college and it still follows me this through my work of employment; same thing just different white people.

It’s enough harder being a stepdad and a father, seeing that the education system has got worst and not changing and seeing that my children are going through the same thing.
